Fondation Cartier

The Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art (created in 1984) is dedicated to promoting contemporary creation and disseminating knowledge about it. Each year, the Fondation Cartier programs thematic or personal exhibitions and then commissions artists, thus enriching an important Collection. It also organizes the Soirées Nomades, a meeting place for the performing arts where artists create links between the visual arts and other modes of expression of contemporary creation. The exhibitions and the Collection regularly visit foreign institutions, giving the Fondation Cartier its international dimension.
The Fondation Cartier crosses all fields of contemporary creation, from design to photography, from painting to video, from fashion to the performing arts.
